A phobia is an overwhelming and often debilitating fear of a particular thing, place, physical experience, food or animal.

Those who suffer from phobias sometimes rearrange their daily lives around them or are prevented from living the life they want to due to the anxiety their phobia causes.

Symptoms of phobia include:

  • unsteadiness, dizziness and lightheadedness
  • nausea
  • sweating
  • increased heart rate
  • shortness of breath
  • trembling or shaking
  • an upset stomach

The phobia usually a response to the presence of the object of the fear, but in many cases even thinking of or imagining the object can cause symptoms to occur.

The good news is that hypnotherapy can be a very effective treatment for phobias.  As always, I take a whole mind approach

and work with the conscious through NLP, CBT and mindfulness techniques, and with the subconscious through hypnotherapy.
